You’re probably wondering why on earth I’d write a blog post about what I’m about to write about.  You see, I’m so tickled with this “solution” that I want to share it!

Do you buy the economical, large-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner like I do? Do you also have a problem finding a spot to keep them in or around your shower or tub?

I didn’t want two enormous bottles sitting untidily on the shower floor, so I went on a mission around my house to find a pair of  old shampoo bottles

[or something…..] to decant into.  I looked and looked to no avail.  It crossed my mind that I’d be able to find something at work, but they definitely needed to be [much] bigger than the travel size ones I’ve written about before.

I headed to our Bath Shop for a consultation.  There I found Mary.  I told her what I needed.  I knew Mary would have a solution.  She’s like that.  Knowledgeable.  Always has good ideas.  A conundrum solver.

She sped away, down the aisle to Housewares.  She came back grinning from ear to ear, waving a ketchup bottle in each hand.  [ She was even saying Ya-ay.]  For one split second, I felt a nip of:  Oh gee, how will that look in my bathroom?  But immediately, however, the practicality won me over and I started liking the idea.  A lot.

I bought the pair of ketchup bottles, took them home, decanted into them, cut the tops off for good flow, and put them in the “cubbyhole” in my shower.   I’ve used them for several weeks now and they are perfect.

They may look strange at first, but this is a great solution if you need something easy and manageable in your shower too.

[Thanks, Mary.]
