As I’ve said before, I moved this summer. I’ve always lived in homes with a shower in the tub and a shower curtain. This time, I moved to a home with a stall-type shower with glass on 2 sides. I had the opinion that I was trading up.
Wrong!
At first I quite liked my new shower. Even though I occasionally

[about once a week] wiped down the surfaces with a tub and tile cleaner, I started noticing a film developing on the glass. As the weeks went by it got more and more filmy and streaky and it was apparent that my attempts at keeping the glass clean were not working.
At. All.
Help! I pleaded to Bette in Blackhawk’s Bath Shop.
She pointed me to a whole rack of different shower squeegees and said that, at the very least, I needed to squeegee clean the glass after each use.
Each use? Really?
I picked out a squeegee with a little suction cup, and she pointed me to Scrubbing Bubbles™ cleaner and microfiber cloths for daily maintenance.
If this doesn’t work, she told me, we have more serious cleaners!

I was certain I’d be ok with daily cleaning and not need to “get serious”.
Wrong!
Now, a couple of months into living in the new house with Scrubbing Bubbles™ and squeegee maintenance after showerings, the white streaky glass was getting cloudier and streakier. It required more action…as in “more serious cleaners!”
Argh!
Back I went to the Housewares Department where Mary helped me this time. She took me back to the cleaning aisle and handed me a jar of AMAZ™ Clean and Green Water Stain Remover. She included an AMAZ™ Scrub Pad.

Home I went with my new supplies and set to work on my milk glass shower walls. Seriously.
Here are some “before” pictures

Here’s the process. I wet down my shower walls and doors. I opened the AMAZ and set to work with the scrubbie. I don’t know what I expected the AMAZ to look like, but it is a thick wet substance, much thicker than other wet abrasive cleaners.

After applying the AMAZ and scrub-scrub-scrubbing my little heart away, it was time to rinse it off. Let me just say that I became sufficiently drenched doing this, which I’ll remember the next time!
I held my breath as I reached for my hand held shower – which I don’t like the looks of, but that I do appreciate because it sure made rinsing off the doors and walls easier.
I could tell it was better, but first needed to squeegee and wipe the walls and glass with a micro fiber cloth. This time I used one intended for glass cleaning made by Zwipes™

The shower was now cleaned and I was starting to see the sparkle. The true test would come when I placed a brown towel behind the glass as I had before.

Let’s just say I am pleased as punch with the results. They are, well…..
AMAZing!!!
Now I’m back to daily squeegee and Scrubbing Bubbles treatments. When [if] the white film starts back, I’ll nip it in the bud with an AMAZ treatment.
