Summer is in full swing and we hope you have been enjoying it to the fullest! We certainly have been trying to make the most of our weekends with cook-outs in the backyard, hiking trips in the mountains, boating on Charlotte’s lakes and getting gelato at Park Road Shopping Center. With the heat these past couple of weeks I really needed that to cool off! What’s another fun summer activity of mine when it’s brutally hot is….. SHOPPING! Anything to get some air conditioning.
Of course whenever I get gelato I have to stop by Blackhawk Hardware. The shop is currently filled with awesome summer items and I had so much fun picking out some of my favorites for you.
Summer Hats!
How cool are these?! I was surprised by the huge selection of beach hats right in the hear of Dilworth. Had a fantastic time trying on a few to find the perfect hat for our vacation at the shore. What I love about these hats is that on top of providing you with shade they have built in SPF to really protect your noggin’. So fun!
Umbrellas and Hammocks!
What’s more relaxing than hanging out in a hammock?! These are the best additions to your backyard and the store has various ones so you can pick the perfect one for you. There are solid fabric as well as rope hammocks. All that’s missing are you and your favorite summer read. An excellent way to spend a Southern summer afternoon!
Right next to the hammocks is a selection of patio umbrellas. Definitely a necessity this time of year!
Children’s Outdoor Chairs!
I realize I’m putting exclamation points behind everything, but how stinking cute are these?! I can’t decide, which one I like best, all these itty bitty chairs are adorable! Blackhawk’s got children’s rocking chairs and camping chairs that’d make any child or grand-child smile. Monkeys, ladybugs, frogs, bees and so much more! Oh to be young again!
Vizini Visors!
Huh, what is that half moon shaped thing?! These are so cool! Any woman knows this problem, you want sun protection but you don’t hat hair or a kink from a visor strap. Ladies, someone was listening when we complained about that! These Vizini visors slide onto your sunglasses’ frame and come in tons of fun colors. I can’t wait to try one out at the golf range!
