The solution to painting crisp lines: Frog Tape. Available at Blackhawk Hardware. The other day when I was walking down the aisles at Blackhawk Hardware I stopped by the paint department and found this fun product: Frog Tape!

Few things are more frustrating than having happily finished painting a room only to peel off the paint tape and reveal smudged edges. OK so there are definitely more frustrating things – you could have tripped over the open paint can and made a giant paint mess but still, after all that effort you’d hope to see perfect edges. What’s even worse is if you taped of areas other than trim, say accent stripes. Any imperfections would be in a highly visible area.

Frog tape makes painting accent stripes, waves, and chevrons super easy with its shaped tape. You’ll have an even border in now time. The brand is already known for its premium painting tape that prevents paint bleed thanks to Frog Tape’s patented PaintBlock Technology. That same technology is applied to their Shape Tape for a bleed free paint party.

The good stuff comes in wave, scallop and chevron pattern and of course you can tape it in any way you want it: horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Frog Tape’s website has some fun examples that go beyond painting walls. I’m digging their painted dressers and chairs!

As for using Shape Tape in a room, I could envision amazing ombre effects on an accent wall, fun complementary stripes in a kid’s room or a wavy pattern for a bathroom with a lighter color on top of a darker shade. I recommend Benjamin Moore paint for a great cover and finish.
