The design team over at Benjamin Moore is always a reliable source for trend spotting and we’ve been looking forward to their 2019 color trend collection. This collection always complements their color of the year – for 2019 they’ve chosen Metropolitan. We’ve played around with that – dare we say perfect -gray color in this blog post.
Today I’m going to show you the accompanying 14 paint hues that create a harmonious color palette to go along with Metropolitan. What’s more, all these paint colors coordinate well with each other, too, making choosing paint colors for more than one wall or room a breeze. How’s that for some zen?
Enjoy these earthy colors in rooms where you need to stay grounded and calm or use the breezier shades for lofty spaces. I thought home offices / craft rooms would be perfect candidates for a make-over with Benjamin Moore’s harmonious 2019 Color Trends collection.
You can upload photos of your home’s rooms to the Benjamin Moore website and play around with their palette of thousands of paint colors or use one of their existing rooms.
Here is a lovely study painted in Benjamin Moore’s 2019 Color of The Year: Metropolitan! The focus remains with that lovely window overlooking the lake. The peaceful paint color allows you to add busier patterns like the chair upholstery without creating sensory overload. I’d totally use Metropolitan in our house next time we paint!
For a modern office consider this year’s trend colors Hale Navy (left wall), Black Pepper (right wall), and Smoke (ceiling)! This sophisticated color palette oozes productivity. I just love the white furniture and metal accents with this industrious, yet peaceful room. That’s where I’d like to go and get stuff done!
If your home has more of a traditional set-up, why not go for Benjamin Moore’s luxurious Hunter Green as your main wall color. This color would feel right at home in the libraries of royals and just as much in your Dilworth / Myers Park home.
If you prefer lighter paint colors, take a closer look at the top paint colors of this year’s trend collection. Soft Fern is an ideal paint color for any office environment. Tranquil yet bright, you’ll be sure to stay focused and calm as you deal with whatever the work day may throw at you.
The hall way in this photo is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Pashmina from the same 2019 trends collection. Fabulous how easy it is to find a complementing shade for Soft Fern when you look within the collection!
